In c. 1950, Robert PARIES invented another almond speciality :

The Mouchou

These are small, light, soft macaroons, rich in almonds and light in sugar, coated with a fine crunhcy layer and stuck together in pairs.

It is said that Mouchous are so exquisite that nothingcan compare to them apart from possibly the "muxu",
which in Basque means "kisses".
