San Sebastian
San Sebastian is 30 minutes from Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Despite its impressive history, its French-influenced architecture and traditional Basque culture, San Sebastian is one of Spain’s most modern cities. An incredibly lively city, it is surrounded by superb landscapes and famous beaches. In its old quarter, you will discover the charms of its traditional houses and wonderful Basque cuisine. Nowadays, San Sebastian has developed into a leading cultural centre following the construction of the conference centre, the science museum and the Chillida-Leku museum.

Bilbao
Bilbao and the Guggenheim Museum, 1hr 30min from Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Bilbao, the capital of the region of Vizcaya, has developed around the Nervion river, in a valley surrounded by mountains. Since the opening of the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao has transformed itself from a drab industrial town into a modern, dynamic city in the space of just a few years to such an extent that it can now be said to rival some of Europe’s major capitals.
