Popular dances : fandango, mutxiko...

Another local speciality is traditional Basque dancing, performances of which enliven our summer festivals and add to the charm of our town and region. These dances are representations of daily life and traditonal crafts, and recall the past of the Basque people.

The most popular dances are the Ikurinari, a dance found in seven Basque provinces (both on the French and Spanish sides of the border) which pays homage to the unity of the Basque Country beyond its modern borders, and the famous fandango, a lively and light-footed dance which is often performed at the end of a festival or show.
