AUTOBUSEZ

To avoid parking problems and traffic jams, leave your car behind and hop on a bus. Our public transport network takes you to all four corners of the Basque Country.

THE HEGOBUS NETWORK

This public transport network was set up by the Basque Country Inter-Urban Council. Buses run on 11 different routes connecting Saint-Jean-de-Luz to the rest of the Basque Country.

The bus station, located right in the town centre, provides easy access to public transport. There are numerous bus stops in the different districts of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Ciboure, Guéthary and Urrugne.

Hopping on a bus is a practical alternative to travelling by car to the beach or neighbouring villages.

THE CAR EXPRESS

Rapid inter-urban services link the main towns in the Basque Country. The Bayonne – Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Hendaye line is very practical for travelling up and down the Basque coastline.

SUMMER SHUTTLE SERVICES

During the summer, make life easy by taking advantage of the Park & Ride sites situated outside the centre of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. It couldn’t be simpler! You park your car free of charge in one of the Park & Ride sites and take the summer shuttle bus that drops you off in the centre of town just near the Grande Plage.

VELIBLEU

 

Vélibleu provides short-term Self-Service Electric Bike Hire in towns along the Basque Country coastline.

You will find a Vélibleu docking station at Chantaco sports fields. Then all you have to do is take the cycle track to Saint-Jean-de-Luz port just 3km away. From there, you can cycle to Erromardie and Acotz beaches, head along to Guéthary or go further south along the cycle track to Urrugne or Socoa Fort.

This ferryboat runs from April to the end of the All Saints’ Day holidays.
